Enertechnos is a UK clean-tech company, developing innovative solutions to enable ‘better electricity’ and support the transition to net zero. Our innovative cable technology – the Capacitive Transfer System, ‘CTS’ – reduces energy losses throughout the power network, slashing carbon emissions from wasted energy. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Modelling Engineer to support both business and product development activities by defining, managing, and executing electrical and techno-economic studies, conformity studies and engineering and quality assurance programmes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of technology and make meaningful contributions to our organization. You should demonstrate excellent technical skills in electrical engineering including grid electrical studies including static and dynamic studies. You should also have excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills and ability to interface with R&D activities. Willingness to develop knowledge in electro-magnetic studies. Responsibilities: Coordinate with Business and R&D departments on product development activities and other business initiatives. Plan, execute and present techno-economic and electrical studies on use of CTS in industrial, export and distribution systems; receive and address feedback in a structured way. Establish, manage and execute electrical design and engineering programs for testing and development of power cable cables design and related applications. Manage all technical documentation. Get updated and apply applicable industry standards. Provide compliance studies, design Q/A protocols and establish auditing actions. Manage external consultants based on allocated budget. Coordinate lessons learnt and feedback from projects, suggest and execute changes and improvements. Proactively suggest research activities and continuously coordinate with R&D area supporting research activities. High HSE awareness. Being proactive in supporting continuous HSE improvement. Qualifications & work experience: Bachelors-Degree in Electrical Engineering (or higher) Minimum 4 years in the field of electrical studies or electrical design in a consultancy environment or equivalent industrial area. Required Skills: Proven expertise in design of industrial electrical systems, including distribution systems and protection. Proven expertise in power system analysis, preferably using DigSilent PowerFactory or Matlab Simulink Accurate technical reporting and communication of designs. Production, verification and filing of technical documentation. Passion for details and thoroughness. Self-starter and excellent organizational and time management. Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best industry practices. Desired Skills: Knowledge of cable design or manufacturing processes. Experience with power electronics applications. Knowledge of 2-D and 3-D electro-magnetic studies. Previous experience with COMSOL or equivalent software. Knowledge of Python or other programming language Exposure to product development processes.
