Our Finance team is responsible for the day-to-day running of the client bank account management for the Self-Assessment Tax function and for supporting the busy and growing Tax Client Portfolio. As part of a busy and fast-paced team, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for multimillion-pound bank account reconciliations, creating invoices & disbursement of SA rebates from HMRC to clients and inter-company transactions, and providing timely resolution to queries. About the Role In this Finance Assistant role, your duties would include: Client account reconciliation, including allocating self-assessment receipts and calculating disbursements Producing invoicing data for our outsourcing partners Daily/weekly payments of Self-Assessment rebates Generating Self-Assessment invoices Credit control collection across all IN-SYNC products and liaising with Underwriting Communicating with clients in a timely manner by telephone and email Ensuring clients are kept up-to-date and successfully resolving any issues and queries Building relationships both internally and externally with colleagues, clients, suppliers and third parties. Following departmental processes and procedures, ensuring compliance is adhered to in all instances. Identifying any process/procedure improvements to positively impact standards, efficiencies and profitability. Essential Skills Understanding of accountancy and tax rules Experience within an office or accountancy environment Excellent IT skills - advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and the ability to use complex bespoke systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail Resilient and pro-active Good time management with the ability to work to strict deadlines Ability to communicate effectively and confidently, both written and verballyIf you tick these boxes, then we'd love to speak to you!
