This leading, global manufacturing organisation is going through a sustained period of growth and investment so there is a lot of scope for this role to develop & for you to step up, assuming more responsibility long term.Project Manager – Capex improvementsSalary: £60000 + benefitsLocation: West MidlandsDutiesResponsible for both managing and supporting high value Capital Projects, preparing risk assessments/ RAMS, issuing Permits for Work, contractor management & control for electrical and mechanical installation and capital equipment projects.o Delivering high value CapEx (£1mil +) engineering projects on time to budget within specificationo Maintaining the operational functionality of the plant through CapEx project and process improvemento Write specification & scope or works, prepareRFQ, review suppliers bid to prepare justification/ ROIo Leading and supporting projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE)o Delivering departmental capex projects and cost reduction projectso Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance department to develop and implement CapEx projectso Adherence to H& S policy, procedure, andtargets and ensure contractors adhere to sameExperienceThe successful applicant will be a competent Projects Manager or Engineering Manager with experience within an high volume manufacturing or capital intensive engineering environment.o Degree/ HNC in an engineering discipline ideally with project management qualificationso Knowledge of production machinery, plant installation and building facilities ideally gained in heavy industry or manufacturing environment.o Good understanding of Health & Safety & Safe Systems of Work: RAMS, Permits to Work etco Proven track record delivering £mil value CapEx projects to agreed specification, on time and to budget.The opportunity:This is an excellent opportunity for a manager with proven leadership & project management experience to be part of an stable and successful organisation with continued investment strategy.
