Job Title: Gas Engineer Location: Walthamstow (E4 8TD) Salary: Competitive + Company Van Job Type: Full time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 17:00 pm Aston Group is a leading Building Services and Facilities Management company for commercial and residential clients.  We are an established, family run, privately owned business that has been setting standards for efficiency, innovation, and quality since 1964.  Celebrating 60 years of service excellence.  The Role: As our Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining property services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to an agreed programme, budget and quality within the company’s operational targets. You will be expected to: To carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts, and carry out repairs relating to all aspects heating and hot water systems. Complete fumes investigations Heat loss calculations. Testing and commissioning of equipment Undertake gas servicing. Testing of smoke and CO alarms To complete job sheets/PDA for every task, daily log sheets and weekly time sheets. To maintain a high standard of customer service for all internal and external facing activities.  To attend toolbox talks To comply with the company’s Health & Safety Policy at all times and follow all related safe systems of work. Undertake other duties of a similar nature as required by management Responsible for care and maintenance of vehicle; washes vehicle and cleans interior; takes vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair.  To report any vehicle malfunctions to management as soon as possible. The Candidate: To be considered for our Gas Engineer, you will have the following skills and experience: Qualifications: CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT Energy Efficiency (Desired, but not essential) Unvented Hot Water HIU (Desired, but not essential) Heat Pumps (Desired, but not essential) Gas fires Cylinders HRU (Desired, but not essential) ACS / Gas Safe qualified and the ability to demonstrate relevant experience Experience: Minimum of 2 years gas servicing experience Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working. in communal and/or domestic premises Use and ability to train in the use of PDA devices. Skills/Knowledge The ability to establish and maintain effective, professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate excellent technical skills on all aspects of gas systems including system wiring. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills To be able to work as part of a team. It is a requirement that a valid full clean driving licence is maintained.
