About the role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our team. In this full-time, long-term role, you will play a crucial part in supporting students who face SEMH challenges. Your role will involve working closely with children to help them navigate their emotions and behaviors, providing tailored support to ensure their success in both academic and social settings. Application Requirements: • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a similar role. • A deep understanding of SEMH issues and strategies for effective support. • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff. • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or SEMH. • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting students’ needs. Key Responsibilities: • Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, helping them manage their emotions and behaviors effectively. • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement personalised learning plans. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being. • Assist with classroom management and support students in small group and one-on-one settings. • Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
