Electrical Supervisor

Looking for an exciting new role in shipbuilding on the South Coast? Our client, a leading shipbuilding specialist, is on the hunt for an Electrical Supervisor who knows their way around quality assurance and wants to make an impact. You’ll be overseeing everything from day-to-day progress to quality checks, making sure everything aligns with the bigger picture. We’re after someone with a solid background in marine electrical installations and shipbuilding. If you're great at liaising with subcontractors and can keep things running smoothly without losing sight of the details, this might be the perfect fit for you. What you'll be doing: * Keeping an eye on progress: You'll monitor the electrical subcontractors, making sure everything is running according to plan and hitting those important shipbuilding milestones. * Quality checks: You’ll inspect the installations regularly, ensuring everything meets the highest quality standards and marine regulations. * Managing timelines: Tracking progress against deadlines is key, and you’ll work with subcontractors to fix any delays or risks that pop up. * Building relationships: You’ll foster positive relationships with subcontractors, keeping communication clear and managing expectations. * Team leadership: You’ll lead a small team, making sure internal staff and subcontractors work together smoothly. * Staying safe: Compliance with safety standards is a must, and you’ll be on top of that. Qualifications: * Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (or something related). * Marine electrical certifications would be fantastic, but solid work experience counts too. * A good grasp of electrical standards and regulations in shipbuilding. * Strong communication and leadership skills.
