Head of Commercial Gas Operations

Job Title: Head of Commercial Operations (GAS) Location: London Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Head of Commercial Operations to oversee the service, maintenance, and repair aspects of all commercial contracts. This role involves ensuring that all mechanical operations—ranging from boiler room maintenance to commercial catering equipment and more—are executed to the highest standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining excellent client relationships, managing contract performance, and ensuring compliance with both company and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the delivery of service, maintenance, and repairs for all commercial contracts, ensuring all work is completed on time and to a high standard. * Manage a team of Field Operations Managers and monitor contract service delivery, focusing on compliance, customer satisfaction, and right-first-time completion. * Work closely with clients through regular meetings to maintain strong relationships and ensure optimal service delivery. * Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and present operational updates to senior management. * Lead on health and safety compliance, ensuring that all work is carried out according to regulations and best practices. * Manage budgets, including labor, materials, and overheads, while working to improve profitability and operational efficiency. * Oversee staff development, including managing the Apprenticeship Programme and conducting performance appraisals for direct reports. * Drive continuous improvement across all service delivery areas, suggesting and implementing changes to enhance contract performance and client satisfaction. Qualifications: * A-Level or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification (essential) * ACS qualifications - minimum of CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CKR1, CPA1, CODNCO1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, BMP1 & MET4 (desirable) * Full UK driving license (essential) Experience: * Minimum of 3 years in a management role * Proven track record of managing a team of at least 5 people * Experience in managing the commercial aspects of contracts and delivering operational success Skills: * Strong communication and leadership skills * Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure * People management skills, with a focus on development and performance * Strong commercial acumen and contractual awareness - Commercial gas - commercial gas jobs - commercial manager - commercial operations manager - gas manager - gas operations manager
