Growth Marketing ManagerPropel is excited to be working with a rapidly expanding, product-led scaleup on the cutting edge of their space. Our client is looking for a skilled Growth Marketing Manager who can unlock the full potential of their massive customer base. They are bootstrapped, profitable and currently the most downloaded app for businesses in their ecosystem, acquiring around 2,000 new businesses daily, with over 420,000 active merchants using their product around the world. They are renowned for their organic growth, and you’ll be instrumental in harnessing this growth to drive even greater success, especially in reducing churn and maximizing customer lifetime value.The RoleThis is not your typical marketing role—our client needs a true growth marketer. You’ll be diving deep into the product’s funnel, identifying drop-off points, and running a series of data-driven experiments to optimise the entire customer journey. With thousands of new shops organically joining the platform every day, there’s a significant opportunity to enhance retention and engagement through targeted strategies.As a Growth Marketing Manager, you’ll focus on:Funnel Optimisation: Analyse and understand the entire AARRR funnel (Awareness, Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Revenue, Referrals) to identify areas of improvement and implement data-driven strategies.Email & In-App Campaigns: Own and optimise email and in-app marketing efforts, leveraging a vast database of users to drive engagement and reduce churn. You’ll run triggered campaigns based on customer behaviors and touchpoints, creating personalised experiences that convert.Experimentation & Testing: Lead growth experiments across the funnel, focusing on high-impact areas like acquisition, onboarding, trial conversions, and churn reduction. You’ll adopt a "test fast, fail fast" mentality to identify winning strategies quickly.Collaboration with Product: Work closely with the product marketing manager, marketing executive, and growth squad (including product managers, developers, and designers) to execute experiments that require cross-functional collaboration. Your role will be hands-on, especially with non-technical growth experiments.Paid Campaigns: While the primary focus is organic growth, you will also explore opportunities in PPC, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem and other channels like TikTok and Facebook.Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for someone with:Proven Experience: At least a 4-6 of experience in growth marketing or lifecycle, particularly in SaaS or product-led growth environments. You should have hands-on experience with A/B testing, email marketing, and customer journey optimisation.Data-Driven Mindset: A strong analytical approach with the ability to dive into data, understand user behavior, and turn insights into actionable strategies.Freemium Model Expertise: Ideally, you have experience working with freemium models, understanding the challenges of converting free users to paid plans, and retaining them.Email Marketing Proficiency: Experience managing large email databases, with a focus on segmenting, targeting, and automating campaigns to drive growth.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working in sprints with cross-functional teams, especially product and development, to implement growth strategies that may require technical development.Success: You’ve been part of successful growth stories in past companies and can clearly communicate the impact that your work specifically had on a growth of a business during that time.What’s In It For You?Competitive Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 based on experience.Flexible Work: Hybrid working model with 2 days in the office (Tuesday and Thursday) in a vibrant Shoreditch location.
