Job Description

The role of Retoucher & Product Photographer sits in our in-house Studio & Production Services department, where you will provide specialist expertise to ensure that all post-production and photography requirements are executed to a professional level to the brand.


We are looking for a Junior Retoucher & Photographer who is passionate and driven to learn in a fast paced environment. Majority of the day to day work work involves Retouching and then will be Product Photography. 80% retouching and then 20% Product Photography.


Day to day key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and shoot a variety of products including jewellery.
  • Retouching a variety of product types including still life, mannequin, flat lays and on model to a strict daily postproduction target.
  • Retouch images to a high standard in both quality and quantity.
  • Ensure colour consistency & correction on images ensuring they are consistent and a true representation of the product.
  • Name and maintain digital asset file. Follow workflow procedure with structure organisation and upload images to web servers.
  • Crop images and maintain file size specification guidelines.
  • Perform quality assurance on all images.
  • Be responsible for completion of work to daily and weekly deadlines
  • Showing initiative and creativity within part of a team, which is constantly improving its imagery.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties for the studio.
  • Work collaboratively & liaise with other departments involved in the studio process to ensure that all product issues are flagged and retouched before distribution.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with postproduction guidelines and use approved ways of working.
  • Maintain the digital asset library and the integrity of folder structures.
  • Check that all files adhere to asset naming conventions.
  • Liaise with the 3rd party supplier and freelance contributors when required.
  • Support with team administration tasks and coordination and workload when required and during periods of annual leave.
  • Support Senior photographer on set when required.
  • Occasional Ecommerce photography.


Skills and Experience:

  • A strong and confident communicator.
  • An excellent working knowledge of Photoshop is essential.
  • Strong retouching techniques and eye for detail.
  • Self-motivation to hit deadlines and initiative to work as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of colour correction and correction.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently on a high volume of images to meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of photography and lighting equipment
  • Excellent punctuality record.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Education qualification to degree level of photography or equivalent.
  • retouching and shooting product photography.
  • Work in a fast-paced friendly studio environment dealing with still life, mannequin and flat lay apparel photography.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience working in an e-commerce studio

·        Mac OS
