Your new role With this Year 1 Teaching Assistant role, you will be supporting the whole class alongside teachers and other support staff. There will be some SEND roles you may have to jump into, giving extra support to children that may need it and spending some time 1:1 also. Your role will involve play-based teaching with a specific focus on basic phonics and maths as these are of the utmost importance. This school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is comfortable in the class environment and helps children involve themselves with learning.
