About Our Client: Our client, a reputable engineering and manufacturing company based in Belfast, is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing, programming, and maintaining automation systems to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement automation systems for production and manufacturing processes. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to automate and enhance operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment and control systems. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify automation needs and implement solutions. Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and reliability of automation systems. Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes, including system configurations, wiring diagrams, and program logic. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
