Location Remote with occasional, in-person meetings (south of England)  Reports Directly to CEO, LUCENT  Role Purpose Ensure LUCENT delivers high-quality, professionally executed, well-resourced, and profitable services to biopharma clients.  Requirement Initially 3 days per week, increasing to full-time as requirements increase Contract role – with the option for permanent after 6 months  About the Business LUCENT biopharma is a new, but rapidly growing UK-based consultancy agency, providing specialist medical and scientific expertise to Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies in Europe, the UK and the US.   We specialise at the interface of R&D and commercialisation of prescription medicines. Our work touches on the lives of patients, family members and healthcare professionals across the globe.  Responsibilities The Senior Account Manager/Account Director at LUCENT leads on the delivery of best-in-class service to our biopharma clients, whilst ensuring profitable project delivery for LUCENT. This role involves leading project proposals and internal meetings, managing client relationships, and overseeing financials. You'll drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and contributing to strategic planning. The person suitable for this role will excel in project management, client communication, and team leadership.  This person will be responsible for:  Project Delivery: Develops and manages project proposals (including pitch meetings), plans, and budgets with the Business Development Lead. Leads internal project meetings and tracks project status. Oversees quality and accuracy of project deliverables. Monitors finances, ensuring accurate invoicing and reconciliation. Submits proposals and lead client pitches. Serves as the main contact for clients, managing progress and resolving issues.  Above-Project Responsibilities: Align on new project requirements and continually seeks additional business opportunities. Shares insights internally on LUCENT’s value proposition. Addresses business challenges and supports new internal system implementations. Collaborates on long-term planning. Understands competitive activity. Coaches and develops team members. Provides leadership and innovative solutions to strategic challenges.   Person Specification This role is highly varied and requires an individual who is happy to get their hands dirty as well as working at a strategic level.  Required skills and qualifications: Skilled in project planning (MS Excel, MS Project) and financial management. Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS PowerPoint). Industry expert, offering thought-leadership and value to clients and projects.  Desired traits Ability to anticipate challenges and develop long-term plans. Clear and persuasive in both written and verbal interactions. Has an excellent eye for detail. Flexible in responding to changing priorities and client needs. Innovative in finding solutions to complex issues. Efficient in prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Inspiring and motivating teams to achieve high performance. Focused on understanding and meeting client needs. Works well under pressure.
