Secondary Maths Teacher close to the Portsmouth Area Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full time, Long term contract, Paid to Scale - £150 - £230 per day Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom Start Date: Immediate Contract: Long Term Supply Desk are currently recruiting on the behalf of a Secondary School in Portsmouth who are looking to recruit a Maths Teacher to Immediately. This will be a temporary position (looking to go permanent) where you will be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school that was graded “Good” in all areas in their latest Ofsted inspection. Overview: Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a Secondary School based in the Portsmouth area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract. The role would be starting in Immediate on a long-term contract. The successful candidate will be teaching Maths to students in KS3 and KS4, working in a supportive department. The School will consider non-specialist Maths teachers for this role with experience teaching Maths in Secondary Schools. About the School:  The School is a mixed Secondary School based in Portsmouth for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1000 students in total. The School comes with a Good reputation and has a supportive SLT that cares deeply for the Schools values. The school also has free parking onsite. Key Responsibilities: -          Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and policies. -          Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. -          Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. -          Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development. -          Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning community. Requirements: -          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. -          Degree in Mathematics or related field. -          Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. -          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -          Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best. -          Experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
