Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a thriving primary school in Southwark. You will be workin g on a 1-1 basis with SEND needs including Autism and ADHD. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher and helping to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment for our pupils. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons. Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups. Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources. Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers. Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils. Key requirnments:  Previous experience is ideal DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply for one A proactive and flexible approach to supporting classroom activities. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Please keep in mind that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
