Legal Counsel (Commercial) - Insurance

Miryco Consultants are seeking a high-performing Commerical Legal Counsel to join a dynamic and growing Lloyd's of London insurance syndicate. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership, providing legal guidance across a range of commercial contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals aiming to further their career in the insurance industry or transition from private practice to an in-house role within a high-performing team.Key Responsibilities:Review and advise on all commercial contracts for the syndicate and wider business.Provide guidance on data protection matters.Assist in developing and maintaining standard contract clauses.Collaborate with the outsourcing manager on third-party relationships.Support senior legal and governance personnel with general governance tasks.Stay updated on legal developments and their potential impact on the company.Required Skills and Experience:UK qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in insurance commercial law, either in-house or in private practice.Strong knowledge of commercial contract law.Experience in advising on data protection issues.Eagerness to develop skills in corporate governance (no prior experience necessary).Location: UK-based (hybrid)Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 (dependent on experience)Should you not be contacted within five working days of submitting your application, then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for the opportunity.
