Power BI & Analytics Specialist12m Fixed Term Contract (FTC) opportunityRole to be based out of our offices at either Seaham (SR7) or Cleckheaton (BD19)MRC Global is seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join our team to help unlock the operating performance of the International business, operating in 13 countries globally across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.As our Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.You will re-establish and maintain governance over our reporting; establishing a set of key reports for the International Leadership Team and the wider business to provide key insights.The ideal candidate will have strong skills in DAX and SQL, as well as experience with SAP Hana/s4 data models. Knowledge and understanding of ELT processes and tools are required.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboardsWrite complex Data Analysis Expressions to create measures, calculated columns, and tablesDevelop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulationIntegrate data from various sources, including SAP business systems, to create comprehensive data modelsCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsEnsure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reporting solutionsProvide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and featuresQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field3+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar roleStrong proficiency in DAX and SQLExperience with SAP business systems and understanding of data relationshipsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with other BI tools and technologiesExperience with web application development.
