We foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, and change, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.We are currently looking for a HV Design Engineer to join our team as part of the Grid & Digital Solutions department of the M Power Projects division, for the construction of the EGL1, a collaborative effort between National Grid Electricity Transmission and SP Transmission, aiming to transmit renewable energy from Scotland to England.These stations, responsible for converting direct current to alternating current, play a crucial role in the efficient and reliable transmission of 2GW of green energy through a 190km subsea HVDC cable, powering over two million homes in the UK.Your role will encompass:Supervise the Engineering Activities for the project, related to Medium and High Voltage SystemReview of technical specifications in line with project’s technical requirementsReview of technical studiesReview of drawings, schematics, cable lists, wiring diagramsDrafting RfQs for equipment · Evaluation of technical offers from suppliersTechnical review and coordination of the deliverable design documents from suppliersEnsure compliance of final design documents and drawings with the technical specifications of the project OwnerBe Involved in interface, project meetings with equipment Vendors, other design disciplines and Project Owner representativesParticipation in factory acceptance testsCoordinate technical interfacesCoordinate the Engineering Activities for the project together with the other engineering disciplines such as Mechanical ,Civil & Architectural EngineeringProvide technical assistance, support and troubleshooting to the site construction team and site commissioning teamWhat you bring to the role:At least 2 years of experience in power industry (HV/MV substations , power plants) and/or large-scale construction projects)Excellent knowledge of the English language.Experience in at least one field of Medium or High voltage systems shall be considered an advantage.Proficient working knowledge of AutoCADWorking knowledge of at least one power systems analysis software (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSS/E) shall be considered an advantageGood background in electrical systems, familiar with international and European standardsYour Benefits:Competitive remuneration packageTicket Restaurant CardGroup Health Insurance programDiscount on the household electricity billPension PlanCooperation, creativity and innovation: we adopt flexible cooperation models to achieve fast results and increased productivityFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news.We respect your personal data.
