Software process planner

We are looking for talented PLC Software Engineers to join our clients South West Water team! If you re passionate about software development for PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, and want to contribute to water infrastructure projects across Devon & Cornwall, this role is for you!

What Will You Be Responsible For? As a PLC Software Engineer, you will play a key role in writing PLC & HMI software and configuring SCADA pages for a range of projects within South West Water. You'll work closely with the Client's engineering and operational teams to ensure their requirements are fully met.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

• Producing PLC software that meets the standards of the Client and industry requirements.
• Developing functional design specifications and control philosophies.
• Contributing to final contract documentation, 'As-built' drawings, and test sheets for operations and maintenance manuals.
• Undertaking factory and site testing as required.
• Collaborating with the Client s engineering and operational staff to understand and deliver their needs.

What Are We Looking For? This role is perfect if you have:

• Experience in programming across various PLC platforms using IEC (phone number removed) programming languages.
• Skills in programming HMIs and configuring SCADA pages.
• A relevant industry qualification, such as an ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent.
• A good level of commercial and contractual awareness.
