As an Amazon Worldwide (WW) Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Methane and VaporIntrusion Mitigation Specialist and Risk Manager, you will be responsible forall aspects of supporting one of the safest real estate programs in the world!You will partner with various stakeholders and teams around the world tosupport methane and vapor intrusion mitigation program development and ongoingfacility management including standards and policy development,implementation, and execution. To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational andcommunication skills and be able to send clear, concise and consistentmessages, both verbally and in writing. You will have extensive methane andvapor intrusion experience, mitigation system experience including design,construction, operations, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM), understand theregulatory environment, and demonstrate this expertise when working withinternal and external teams. This role will be based in London and requires UK and EU travel 25% of thetime. Key job responsibilities Provide a single point of contact to internal and external teams to supportthem on developing, understanding, and executing Amazon’s methane and vaporintrusion programs. Complete due diligence reviews of properties to assess ground gas risk. Complete WHS reviews of mitigation system designs, construction plans, andconstruction verification, startup testing, and OMM data. Perform system inspections during construction, startup, and operation toevaluate conditions and confirm design and operating assumptions Oversee and direct field personnel providing OMM including developing scopesof work, coordinating and scheduling OMM events, evaluating field reports, andacting-on and implementing follow-up actions. Provide support to a wide range of interested legal, property owner,construction management, preconstruction management, consulting, transactionmanagement, business leadership, and facility operations teams and partners onground gas risks, methane and vapor intrusion mitigation systems, and OMM. Provide support, training, and feedback to a wide range of consulting,contractors, developers, facility operations teams and partners on methane andvapor intrusion mitigation systems, monitoring equipment, and operations,maintenance, and monitoring plans, programs and performed. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors degree - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicatingresults to senior leadership - A University Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemicalor Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, orrelated field of study. - Proven experience serving as an environmental technical resource, programspecialist, or project manager with a demonstrable focus on methane and vaporintrusion. - Experience in development and implementation of standards, policies, andprograms with a demonstrable focus on methane and vapor intrusion. - Possess knowledge and experience regarding the operation, maintenance,andor monitoring of a variety of methane vapor intrusion systems (ideallyincluding remote monitoring equipment). - Possess demonstrable knowledge and experience of a variety of UK (andideally EU) Guidance documents relating to methane and vapor intrusionincluding (but not limited to) British Standards BS 8576 and BS 8485, CIRIAReports C682, C735, C748 and C801 etc. - Experience in the development and implementation of standards, policies,and programs. ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- The ability to work in a dynamic, changinggrowing organization. - The ability to design, oversee construction, and manage methane and vaporintrusion systems internationally. - High levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. - Exceptional organizational skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - The ability to collaborate with multiple interested parties with a varietyof goals and objectives. - The ability to adapt and contribute to evolving approaches for the team. - The ability to manage a high-volume workload with concurrent priorities. - The ability to synthesize large amounts of information into focusedconclusions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Additional language fluency is a bonus.
