Electrical Chargehand Salary £45,000 Shift Pattern Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm Are you an Electrical Chargehand looking for a new challenge? Would you be interested in working for an industry leading manufacturer? Do you have experience working with heavy plant and industrial machinery? If so, this is an opportunity you want to hear about…. What would I be doing as an Electrical Chargehand? * This is a hands-on role working both independently and within the maintenance team * React to breakdowns and perform fault-finding and diagnosis on plant and PLC controlled machinery * Utilise mobile phone and respond appropriately to calls both within and outside of working hours * Complete a daily written report on reactive and planned preventative work carried out * Have sound understanding of electrical and mechanical issues and carry out mechanical repairs where you are competent to do so. * Monitor spares stock and identify when stock levels are low to ensure equipment downtime is kept to minimum and critical spares are readily available. * Work on continuous improvement and project work to increase plant reliability, energy savings and cost reduction The qualifications and experience required to be an Electrical Chargehand …? * Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent * A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role as an Electrical Engineer / Chargehand in an industrial environment * A minimum of 1 years’ experience supervising a team * Knowledge and experience working with PLC’s * Experience carrying out electrical installations and power supplies * Be proficient in panel building and wiring including control circuits and motor starters * Have the 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations * Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces * Experience reading and working from technical drawings to troubleshoot and repair faults The successful Electrical Chargehand will be offered the opportunity to join an organisation that are specialists in their field and have seen continuous growth due to development and continuous demand of their products.
