Responsibilities and duties As a Lead Mechanical Engineer you will: Lead piping work packages for UK nuclear projects, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications Drive the timely resolution of design issues and delivery schedules Oversee design changes, troubleshooting, and the 3D piping models Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning and process improvement Coordinate with various teams to maintain workflow and ensure design consistency Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent Experience in piping engineering and plant design Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver projects Strong communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and deadline-oriented Salary and benefits of the Lead Mechanical Engineer role Salary up to £77,000 25 days annual leave per year raising to 28 8% Employer pension contribution Individual and family private health care Life assurance Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
