Salary: £24,762 - £25,512 per annum + £40 per sleep-in
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and autism? Do you have experience in a care setting and the desire to take on a leadership role? We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to the individuals we support.
About the Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our service, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of the individuals in your care. You will lead by example, working alongside a dedicated team to create a nurturing and supportive environment where the people we support can thrive and achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism to live fulfilling, independent lives.
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Leading shifts, ensuring high standards of care and support.
* Supervising and mentoring junior staff members.
* Assisting with personal care, medication, and daily living tasks.
* Contributing to care planning and the ongoing assessment of individual needs.
* Organising activities and supporting individuals in the development of social networks.
* Ensuring that safeguarding procedures are always adhered to.

What We’re Looking For:
* A caring and compassionate individual with a genuine desire to support people with learning disabilities and autism.
* Previous experience in a support worker or care role.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care practices.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
