We are currently working with an established sub-contract sheet metalworking business based in Cannock. Due to a retirement, they are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the Quality Engineer's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
We are looking for someone who is looking for their next move, perhaps you're a senior inspector and would like to be a Quality Engineer, we would consider someone who has completed an Engineering Apprenticeship - the fit into the existing team is an important factor; as is the need for someone who is looking to have a long term career, with progression over time to Quality Manager position.

- Maintaining Quality manuals, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Manage and develop QHSE policies, procdures and programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Conduct supplier audits
- Review all quality debit notes in a timely fashion.
- Undertaking a hands-on inspection role to ensure components are produced to the customer specification.
- Support APQP and PPAP activities.
- Ideally held a similar role.
- Come from a solid engineering background
- Ideally have an Engineering qualification (HNC or HND or higher)
- A good knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Good customer facing skills
- The ability to read engineering drawings in various formats.
- Experience of working in a hands-on inspection role and be competent using all relevant equipment.
