Senior Management Accountant

Role OverviewReporting to the Financial Controller you will support the smooth running of the Finance Department. This is a hands on role supporting the Financial Controller to meet reporting deadlines and ensure that robust business processes and controls are in place.What will you be doing?Assist with the month end process to ensure that Group reporting timetables are adhered to.Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts including Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet. This also includes variance analysis.Review of inventory including price and usage variances, standard costs and analysis of slow moving inventory.Monthly balance sheet reconciliationsMonitoring of projectsSupport ongoing ERP developments and identify opportunities for process efficiencies and automation.Liaison with budget holdersSupport Financial Controller to ensure internal controls are implementedAssistance with the budgeting and forecasting process.Assistance with year-end work including liaison with auditors.Ensuring the company complies with HMRC requirements.Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members.What are we looking for?Professional accounting qualification eg ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant with at least 2 years post qualified experience.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience in cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing settingConfident and effective communicator with a good level of written and oral English.IT skills including Excel.Experience of supervising staffWhy join us?We are part of the AB Dynamics Group, an innovative, dynamic listed business with a friendly and supportive working environment.
