We have an opportunity for an Audit Manager with an accountancy practice, to be based at the firms Banbury office. The focus of the role will be to plan, organise and manage a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Services department with some emphasis on leading the firms Not for Profit specialism.

In addition to client management, the role will contribute to overall practice development particularly in the area of audit, accounts preparation and outsourcing work for corporate and NFP clients.
As Audit Manager your responsibilities will include:
Provide excellent service to clients including those in the NFP Sector, along with others where appropriate
Respond to client and HMRC queries in a timely manner
Seek to gain experience/ progress role and those of other staff by seeking to take more advanced work from partners and delegating more routine work to others, thereby aiding cost-effectiveness, and adding to interest/ training of all within the team
Develop knowledge of clients and their businesses as to become their point of contact on day-to-day matters
Review and finalise audit files, accounts and corporation tax work prepared by more junior staff
Complete staff appraisal forms providing feedback (good and bad) and training as required
To identify business opportunities and assist partners with specific value-added assignments- e.g., business planning, advisory and other audit related matters
To assist partners in controlling WIP within the department by progressing work to completion/ billing point swiftly
To monitor progress against deadlines and ensure these are met- e.g., Companies House filings, group reporting, P11Ds, tax returns, etc.
Work outside normal hours as required

ACA or ACCA qualified
Minimum of 4 years post qualified audit experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
Minimum of 3 years experience managing staff within a practice environment
In depth knowledge of audit and accounts preparation, corporate taxation knowledge, and preferably NFP
Strong marketing, networking, and business development skills
Strong IT skills; experience with MS Office, audit and accounting software
Excellent communication skills
Pro-active management skills, resulting in high performance teams
Live within commuting distance of Banbury
