Principal Coastal Engineer

Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.  About You: We are looking for a Chartered Civil Engineer with experience in leading design delivery. Sound theoretical knowledge in ocean waves, tidal theory, extreme value statistics, nearshore wave processes and sediment transport. Design experience of coastal structures such as flood defences, sea walls, breakwaters, revetments and beaches to appropriate codes and standards such as BS6349, EurOtop manual and rock manual. The ability to plan and direct others in the use of numerical modelling to simulate wave propagation, tidal flows hydrodynamics etc.  Key Information: Role: Principal Coastal Engineer Salary: £50,000-£68,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits Location: Glasgow, Scotland – Hybrid Working Offered Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK (Cannot Offer Sponsorship)  Key Skills: Civil engineering, coastal engineering, design of coastal structures, numerical modelling   Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens.
