Part of Crimson Hotels, The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton is a 5 Star hotel with 131 bedrooms including 15 suites, and a number of venues consisting of our unique The Rooftop Bar and Rockwell that pride themselves in the quality of service that they provide.
We are looking for a Head Waiter/Waitress for our pre-opening vibrant bistro and wine bar. Serving modern European cuisine complemented by an exciting global wine list.
The Role
As a Head Waiter/Waitress, you will play a key part in creating meaningful experiences for our guests. Your role is to deliver exceptional service, lead by example, and ensuring hotel quality standards are maintained whilst achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction. You will need to ensure you demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu items provided.
You will also - but not be limited to:
- Work well as a team to ensure swift and efficient service to all our guests.
- Anticipating guests' needs and carrying out these requests courteously and helpfully. Look to resolve all complaints during each shift and log complaints for further follow-up.
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate.
- Assisting with the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant floor, ensuring facilities are maintained to the standards required.
- Complete quality Mise en Place including cleaning, setups, and handovers.
- Report and follow up on any comments and guest queries as they occur.
The Person
An ideal candidate is a person with a clear passion for service. Someone who engages with guests easily and is able to use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wonderful experience for everyone. The ability to multitask and prioritise is important, as well as the ability to work well under pressure with the biggest smile. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, produce quality work and be flexible to work early morning shifts. Shifts may vary.
Although experience within a similar environment is preferable, we look for attitude, quality, and interpersonal skills rather than experience as we will give you the tools to ensure you are successful in your role.
