Our platform connects emerging players with scouts, coaches and clubs, giving young athletes a chance to get noticed on a global scale. We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Business Development Manager who’s passionate about football and eager to drive the growth of this exciting new platform. The Role: Are you football mad? Do you have a knack for building relationships and closing deals? We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong industry connections and a love for football. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving sales, securing partnerships, and ensuring that our app is the go-to platform for football talent discovery. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping aspiring footballers get the exposure they deserve. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Client Acquisition: Identify and engage football clubs, scouts, academies and training facilities. Convert leads into long-term business relationships and subscription-based clients. Partnerships and Networking: Leverage your existing network within the sports industry to form strategic partnerships with clubs, agents and sports organisations. Attend events and industry forums to build and strengthen connections. Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, ensuring terms are favourable and clear. Handle renewals, onboarding and general client relations. Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring they see value in the platform. Provide support to clubs, scouts and academies, ensuring seamless user experiences. Analyse industry trends, scout requirements and competitor products to inform strategy. Identify new markets or regions to expand the app’s user base. Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue through partnerships, sponsorships and additional services. Gather feedback from users and clients, providing insights to the development team to improve features and functionality of the app. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the app to potential users and clients. Assist in planning campaigns, events and initiatives to increase brand awareness. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, user growth and partnerships. Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and strategy adjustments. Skills & Qualifications: Proven sales experience, particularly in sports, tech or app-related industries. Extensive network within the football industry (clubs, scouts, academies, agents). Strong negotiation and contract management skills . A passion for football and youth development. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills . Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in business strategy and growth planning. Adequate knowledge using CRM tools, sales management software and reporting tools. Must be able to work out of office hours. Benefits: Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
