SEND Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted rated Good Primary School in Saltley. We are looking to appoint a reliable, dedicated and enthusiastic TA to support a year 6 pupil who has ASD and is non-verbal. The school are looking for an individual who has previous experience in a similar role including a passion for working with children with SEND. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to start as soon as possible, and the position will continue on an ongoing basis. SEN Teaching Assistant Contract/Position Details: -Location: Saltley, Birmingham -Position: SEN Supply teaching assistant -Type of work: SEN teaching assistant/ASD -Start date September 2024 -Likely Duration Ongoing supply cover -Position end date Ongoing Supply work -Contract type Temporary -Full-time -Minimum rate of pay GBP86.40 -Hours 8:20am-4pm (term time only) Supply TA Experience, Training and Qualifications -It is essential that you have SEN Teaching assistant experience -Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero -Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months. -Strong behaviour management skills are a must.
