  • Courseware / Instructional Designer
  • Remote with travel to Reading 1 week per month
  • 6-12 Month Contract
  • 35 - 50 per hour (Inside IR35)
  • Willing to Undergo SC Clearance

Our client is looking for a Courseware Designer with experience designing training for the Military/Defence companies. The ideal candidate will develop DSAT compliant courseware, so experience with DSAT is essential.

The Key Responsibilities of a Courseware / Instructional Designer:

  • Be responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review and production of DSAT Documentation, Courseware and processes.
  • Interviewing subject matter experts to collate required data.
  • Participate in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis.
  • Conducting and maintain Training Design in response to new training requirements to ensure that training satisfies operational / workplace performance requirements.
  • Updating Training Design materials to incorporate relevant recommendations and feedback from internal and external assurance, to ensure that training remains up-to-date and satisfies operational/workplace performance requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide accreditation for new and/or amended training as designed, and/or any amendments or implications for existing accreditations following Training Design changes.
  • Maintenance and update of the design of training courses to ensure that such training courses are up to-date.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Courseware / Instructional Designer role, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Experience in the development and delivery environment and have contributed to the design of significant training courses.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels both internally and within the customer organisation
  • A good working knowledge of the training design and development processes for training media.
  • Training and/or Instructional Design Detailed knowledge and practical experience of MOD procedures and policies Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
