Vehicle Electrician Ripon, £14p/h, 39 hours per week Monday - Friday, Pension scheme, Training & development opportunities Skilled Vehicle Electrician required to join a successful company specialising in the manufacture of commercial vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working on bespoke maintenance vehicles with responsibility for carrying out auto electrical installations, modifications and fault finding. We seek applications from candidates with electrical fitting experience in any relevant industry including maintenance, machine or plant fitting or someone who has recently qualified in a relevant discipline. As a Vehicle Electrician you will: Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in both vehicle chassis and bodies Undertake installations of new lighting, electrical control systems, looming and wiring Testing, calibration and trouble shooting of both electrical systems and control systems Electrical fault finding and repair, ensuring all systems are fully operational Read and work to electrical schematics to ensure complete accurate installations Operate computerised vehicle diagnostic equipment Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with company standards and relevant health and safety regulations As a Vehicle Electrician you will have: Proven experience as an electrician or electrical fitter, within the commercial vehicle sector Experience with vehicle body lighting and control systems A strong knowledge and practical experience with 12V and 24V systems Competence in diagnosing and trouble shooting electrical faults The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Knowledge of CAN bus systems and advanced vehicle diagnostics The company: A well established, leading engineering company offering ongoing training and development and opportunities for career progression for people with the right attitude.
