About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor known for its expertise in residential construction, particularly in new build social housing and refurbishment projects. The company is deeply committed to delivering high-quality housing solutions across the region, working closely with local authorities and housing associations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for residential construction projects, focusing on new build social housing and refurbishments. Oversee the financial aspects of projects, including cost control, procurement, and contract administration. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure accurate measurements, and manage costs. Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and subcontracts. Negotiate and manage agreements with subcontractors and suppliers. Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities while mitigating risks. Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts. Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry regulations and standards. Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and report regularly to senior management.Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential construction, with a strong focus on social housing and refurbishment projects. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and relevant legislation. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office and quantity surveying tools. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
