Job Title: Piping Package Lead Location: UK/ International Travel Contract/ Permanent: Permeant role with a staff salary Client: Chemical Operations Company About the Company: This energy client is a specialty materials provider with an unwavering commitment to forging innovative solutions. About the Role: Manage the entire package lifecycle from design to commissioning, ensuring all assigned packages are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations and Commercial bid evaluations with support from technical and commercial teams on the project. Lead the client team during of major project/package reviews such as 3D Model Reviews and Hazard Studies. Collaborate with construction managers to ensure on-site installation and commissioning activities are properly executed. Ensure all package documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with project requirements and standards. Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders, provide status updates, identify, and resolve issues, and manage change requests in line with project management of change process. Plan and Coordinate Vendor Visits, QA inspections and witness Factory and Site acceptance tests to ensure that the project requirements are adhered to. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure the timely delivery and quality of package components. Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers to ensure package designs meet project requirements and specifications. Implement best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and efficiency. About you: Relevant degree and recognised accreditation from a professional body e.g. Engineering Chartership is preferred. At least 10 years’ experience working in the chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas industry. Mechanical/piping engineering background and experience working on a major EPC/EPCm or EPMS project within the industry is essential. Significant experience of engineering and projects, including front-end, detailed design, construction, commissioning and operation phases. Experience of Hazard Study processes and 3D modelling reviews is essential. Strong Project Management skillset is required including working within demanding schedule and budget constraints as well as excellent team leadership and organisational skills. Highly motivated, tenacious, energetic and delivery focused with a high concern for ethical and business standards. Must demonstrate confident decision-making ability and high levels of initiative. The job holder will be required to undertake significant travel including national and international placements.
