Randstad is currently recruiting a Qualified Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities team at Rochdale Council. This full-time role offers a competitive rate of £30 per hour and the chance to truly make a difference.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vital support to adults in the community with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
  • Participate in a duty system that handles new referrals and emergency situations.
  • Offer intensive support to individuals with complex needs, including forensic histories and challenging behaviours.
  • Develop and arrange services for families and carers, ensuring support in the least restrictive environments within their local area.
  • Monitor and manage services for individuals at risk of offending or who have already committed offences.
  • Work with adults who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) or who pose significant risks to themselves or others due to seriously challenging behaviours.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of need in line with the Care Act, focusing on asset-based support planning, and collaborating across agencies to ensure holistic care.
  • Undertake safeguarding investigations and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, including CTRs, MOJ reports, and tribunals as required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • A Social Work Degree.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience working with adults, particularly those with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
