Commercial Manager


Location: South-Coast England (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, quarterly travel to the US)


Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus


About the Role: Are you an experienced Commercial Officer with a passion for the aerospace industry? Our client, a leading player in the Aerospace sector, is seeking a skilled and dynamic Commercial Officer to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in managing export contracts, particularly with US-based customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee the full life cycle of export contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements from inception to completion.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for US-based clients, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Negotiation: Engage in contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions while mitigating risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including legal and finance, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of contracts.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel to the US to engage directly with clients and attend meetings or conferences.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in commercial contract management within the aerospace industry, with a focus on export contracts.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of commercial terms.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and export regulations, particularly in relation to the US market.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel to the US occasionally as required.
