Job summaryHere at Dr Gilkar & Partner we are looking to recruit a receptionist to join our growing practice. The opportunity covers both our main surgery at Little Horton Lane and our branch surgery based in the Woodroyd Centre. As part of our friendly team you will be responsible for providing a pleasant and efficient service to our patients being the face of the practice.Main duties of the jobDuties and responsibilities include:Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments systemProcessing face to face and telephone requests for appointments, visits and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professionalProcessing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mailTaking messages and passing on informationFiling and retrieving paperworkProcessing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelinesInitiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providersProviding clerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time, including filing, photocopying and scanningThe post-holder should recognise the importance ofeffective communication within the teamAs the successful applicant may need to cover sites a driving licence would be desiredAbout usThe practice has c8500 patients within the widely diverse BD5 area.
