Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing company based in Pocklington, East Yorkshire. This is a full time and permanent role.

This role offers a 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday, 4 x 12 hour shifts - No Fridays or weekends! The shift pattern rotating and is 1 week of days and 1 week of nights.

The Maintenance Engineer role involves:

• Mechanical maintenance on all machinery. Some basic electrical maintenance work
• Working on large heavy machinery, conveyors, mixers, robotic palletisers, PLC's etc.
• Breakdown response to reduce machine downtime as much as possible
• Increase efficiency through thorough execution of PPM planned maintenances schedules
• Help maintain quality of engineering stores via correct usage and communications
• Utilising CMMS for planned and unplanned maintenance
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with customer departments
• Assist with implementation of engineering projects/cost effective repairs
• Complete appreciation/respect of overall health and safety at work

We're looking for the following;

• Previous mechanical maintenance experience (preferably 2yrs or more)
• Some previous basic electrical maintenance experience would be preferred.
• Time served apprenticeship/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in maintenance engineering.
• Good Fault finding and root cause analysis skills
• Previous experience with PPM and TPM systems
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy
