Senior SHE Advisor

BAE - Submarine Solutions (SS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior SHE Advisor to join their team based fully onsite in Barrow-in-Furness. This role is within the Defence & Security sector and is offered on a 6-month contract basis. Key Responsibilities: Providing expert advice on Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) matters to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Conducting risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures. Developing and delivering SHE training programs to enhance the safety culture within the organisation. Investigating incidents and accidents, reporting findings, and making recommendations for preventing recurrences. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practices in SHE management. Maintaining detailed records of SHE performance and preparing reports for senior management. Supporting project teams in assessing SHE risks during the planning and execution of projects. Ensuring all SHE activities are conducted in accordance with SC and UK EYES ONLY security requirements. Job Requirements: Experience in the Defence & Security sector, particularly within the context of submarine solutions. BAE-SHE Associate certification or equivalent qualification. Strong knowledge of current SHE legislation and best practices. Proven ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and audits. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in developing and delivering SHE training programs. Ability to investigate incidents and provide actionable recommendations. SC clearance and eligibility for UK EYES ONLY projects.
