CLASS 1 DRIVER

WORKING ANY 5 DAYS OUT OF 7: START TIMES

£16.00 - £22.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in Warrington.

Rates of Pay

• £16.00 per hour Monday - Friday:
• £19.00 per hour Monday - Friday:
• £22.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday
• £21.28 overtime after 42 hours

Day to Day Duties

• Drive Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Complete 2-4 store deliveries per shift
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
• Collections of recycling from depots may be required
• Carry out vehicle inspections and report any faults to management
• Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner
• Communicate any issues / delays effectively
• Abide by all working time rules and regulations
• Trunking work may also be required

Essential Skills

• At least two years' experience as a Class 1 Driver
• Valid UK Category CE Licence
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than six points for MINOR offences (No IN10, DR10, DD10)
• Good customer service and communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience with store deliveries would be an advantage

Training

• Must pass a one-hour company assessment, both written and practical
• If assessment passed you will undergo a two-day paid company induction
• Further training through shadow shifts for your first week
