SEMH Teaching Assistant | South East London | Immediate Interviews | Primary School Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Greenwich South East London Contract: Full time Start: September 2024 Rate: £95-105 per day Remedy is seeking two dedicated and compassionate candidate who is willing to shape the future of young pupils. We require a Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to a pupil within a primary school. You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student. This amazing SEMH - Teaching Assistant role will give you the opportunity to work an lovely year 5 child who suffers with some emotional mental health problems due to traumatic family issues. We want you to be the most heart-warming compassionate SEMH - Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment. A commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and promoting a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support. CACHE level 3 qualification (Highly Desirable).
