Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.
With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

YOUR ROLEAs Head of Public Affairs, you will be a crucial link between our organisation and key government stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on engaging with government ministers and city officials to advance the interests of Pride in London and the broader LGBTQ+ community. You will play a vital role in shaping our legislative environment and ensuring our voice is heard at the highest levels of government.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute our public affairs strategy
Build relationships with government decision-makers
Represent Pride in London at high-level meetings and events
Advise on policy issues and political developments
Monitor relevant legislative and policy changes
Collaborate on government-focused messaging and campaigns
Organise meetings and events with officials
Prepare briefing documents and presentations
Experience in public affairs or government relations (3+ years preferred)
Strong understanding of UK politics and LGBTQ+ policy issues
Network of government contacts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Passion for LGBTQ+ rights and Pride in London's mission
This is a volunteer role.
