Are you an experienced Maintenance Control Engineer looking for a challenging role in Coventry? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to ensure that all plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, minimising machine downtime and supervising maintenance service procedures.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Control Engineer, you will:

  • Assist with the set-up and operation of planned preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance as required.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns.
  • Set up and execute emergency procedures for machine breakdowns.
  • Minimise risks associated with maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all software is backed up and stored correctly.
  • Provide clear work instructions for key equipment.
  • Adhere to company policies and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to analyse downtime and improve equipment effectiveness.

The Candidate:

The ideal Maintenance Control Engineer will have:

  • Formal qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in emergency repair situations.
  • Knowledge of fault finding/programming ABB robots and Siemens PLCs.
  • Experience with Fanuc Robots.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft applications.
  • A full, current UK driving licence.
