Site Chemist / Graduate - Hazardous Waste Management

We are seeking a Hazardous Waste Site Chemist / Graduate with substantial experience to join a reputable client known for fostering career advancement opportunities Position: Site Chemist / Graduate - Hazardous Waste Management Location: Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich and neighbouring areas. Salary: Salary £28-34k Hours 8am – 4.30pm - 23 days holiday plus Bank holidays Previous Job Titles: Graduate Site Chemist, Technical Assessor, Transfer Station Chemist, Laboratory Technician, Lead Shift Chemist, Reception Chemist, Transfer Station Supervisor Role Overview: THIS ROLE IS PRIMARILY SITE-BASED AND WOULD SUIT A HANDS-ON INDIVIDUAL WHO ENJOYS WORKING OUTDOORS, AS 75% OF THE WORK WILL BE CONDUCTED ON-SITE WITH ONLY LIMITED LAB WORK. FLT Operation (training given) You will work in a hazardous waste management processing yard, where you will be responsible for unloading and testing incoming materials for pH, flammability, and compatibility for bulking. You will ensure that all goods are correctly labelled and complete all relevant paperwork. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies. Experience Requirements: Ideally you could be an experienced Site Chemist, Process Chemist, Technical Assessor, Transfer Station Chemist, Laboratory Technician, Industrial Chemist, Shift Chemist, or Reception Chemist with a HNC or above Educational Qualifications: You may be a Chemistry or Biochemistry Graduate looking for your first role. HNC Minimum Candidates should hold a minimum of an HNC in Chemistry or a related field such as Biology or Forensics, with preference given to those with additional Chemistry modules or higher qualifications. Additionally, the following experience or training is crucial: Any forklift experience or yard or warehouse experience a plus, but full training given.
