Finance Director

Our client has retained us to manage their search for a new Finance Director. We are looking for a senior finance executive to ensure the company has stable and positive financial health, whilst overseeing the execution of the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be leading a team of 3, advising on financial strategy, as well as creating and managing the annual budget to ensure all financial targets are met and the business is financially compliant and meeting growth objectives. The business is an established and long-standing family owned travel hospitality company, with sites around the UK. Based in the Head office, you may be required to do some travel around the sites when required. Key responsibilities: Creating budgets and building annual financial plans Monitoring cash flow Experience leading the finance function in a business north of £35m-£40million revenue Accurate forecasting Providing sound advice to the Exec team to support financial decision making identifying risk and assessing opportunities Ensuring an efficient day to day running of the finance operation Leading the creation of accurate financial records that are presented on time Reporting monthly, quarterly and annually to the Senior Leadership Team Managing the Finance team and developing individuals Key skills & Experience A positive can-do attitude, someone that will support the Exec bringing ideas to life and proactively driving the growth of the business Experience working within a family-owned business ideally within the travel hospitality sector Financial analysis & accounting proficiency Leadership skills Problem solving Attention to detail Qualified Accountant Stakeholder management Strong influencing and communication skills
