Senior Data Engineer - London (Mostly Remote) - Automotive A leading company operating in the connected car and mobility services industry are on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support data integration and processing Transform our existing data lake into an organised, efficient system Work closely with the data science team to format and prepare data for predictive analytics Implement and manage ETL processes using AWS tools such as Glue and QuickSight Optimise data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and reduce costs Ensure data governance and compliance with GDPR requirements Collaborate with the infrastructure team on cloud and Terraform tasks Independently manage projects, providing full-cycle solutions from conception to deployment Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong emphasis on building infrastructure from scratch Expertise in AWS ecosystem and tools (e.g., Glue, QuickSight) Proficiency in Python and Java Experience with data lakes and data pipelines Knowledge of ETL processes and tools such as Apache Airflow (experience with Kafka is a plus) Familiarity with data governance, particularly GDPR compliance Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suitable for working with a small, agile team Why Join Us: Be a key player in a small, dynamic team where your contributions have a direct impact Flexible work environment with mostly remote work and occasional monthly/quarterly in-office meetings Opportunity to work on innovative projects with cutting-edge technology. £70,000 - £85,000 per annum (flexible based on experience) Please apply now for immediate consideration!
