Overview: Our client, a leading global contractor in the construction/ power generation industry space is now seeking the services of an Industrial Relations Manager to support work on a major construction project/ package of work in the South West. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the most one of the most prestigious construction projects in the world.   Job Description: Proactively Manage Industrial Relations for site & Field based employees Develop the Industrial Relations Strategy for UK site & field-based client group Support the staffing plan and headcount ramp-up of the client group. Working effectively with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and other stakeholders to attract and retain suitable employees. Ensure appropriate induction and onboarding processes are in place to allow effective integration for new team members. Provide expert intervention for preventing and resolving IR matters. Manage the delegation and mobilisation of UK based and inpatriate employees. Coach People Leaders on the handling of industrial disputes and grievances, ensuring full compliance to the respective legislation. Participate in the selection and mobilisation of Contractor companies, ensuring full compliance to the established project procedures. Maintain an effective working relationship with respective parties relative to industrial relations. Maintain up to date working knowledge on legislation and national agreements and undertake appropriate training and development as requested and able to train others as appropriate. Ability to effectively challenge business leaders to prevent deviation from expected standards. Maintenance register of subcontractors and relevant site agreements. Liaison with union representatives and industry groups and customer IR representatives. Coordinate the implementation and ensure full compliance of the Employee Relations strategy. Advise supervisor staff and employees on the implementation of strategies to identify and control potential disputes. Act as an integral member of the site management team.  What you will need: Industrial Relations experience ideally across major construction projects.
