Job Description: Fire & Security Project Engineer - Peterborough We are a locally-based fire and security firm in Peterborough, looking to expand our team with the appointment of an experienced Project Engineer. About the Role As a Fire & Security Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of fire and security system projects, both large and small, throughout the Peterborough area. You'll work closely with clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and engineer the installation of fire and security systems for both small and large-scale projects. - Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements. - Plan, control, and oversee labour and materials to efficiently complete projects. - Liaise with key clients to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining profitability. - Process cost sheets and liaise with the purchasing department. - Ensure all necessary engineering paperwork is correctly allocated and that commissioning is completed to company standards. - Provide technical expertise on projects and attend site meetings as required. - Line management of engineers and subcontractors, including oversight of their performance and health & safety. - Carry out system installations and minor works as necessary. - Maintain our firm’s commitment to quality and compliance with Health & Safety standards. Our Systems Include: - **Fire Systems**: Gent, Notifier, Kentec, Ziton, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, Protec - **Intruder Systems**: Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier, Risco - **CCTV Systems**: Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Generic Analogue Systems - **Access Control Systems**: Paxton, PAC, Salto **Who We’re Looking For:** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who possesses: - A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fire and security industry. - Proven experience in managing engineering projects across single and multi-site locations. - Strong technical knowledge of major fire and security systems and projects. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements. - A positive, enthusiastic attitude, and a passion for delivering quality work. - A commitment to health and safety, with a focus on ensuring safe working environments. **Why Join Us?** This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable local firm in Peterborough that values its employees and fosters a positive work environment.
