Traffic Signal Design Engineer based in Winsford / Coventry / Hybrid , £40,000 - £50,000 The Benefits: Work From Home / Hybrid £500 bonus year 1 / £1000 bonus year 2 Varied Schemes to work on Work with customers of all types all over the country The Job: My clientseeks a Traffic Signal Design Engineer to join our growing Urban 64 team. This role is integral to supporting the continued expansion and deployment of the Urban64 system. The successful candidate will oversee the design of traffic signal schemes from inception through to completion, requiring a deep understanding of the traffic signal industry. Strong communication skills are essential, both for liaising with customers and for collaborating with the wider team. While the role is primarily design-focused, we welcome applicants with strong IT skills and a background in the maintenance of permanent traffic signals. We offer flexibility in working arrangements, with hybrid working available from either our Coventry or Winsford depots, adaptable based on the candidate's suitability. The Personal Attributes: Experience: Proven background in traffic signal design with demonstrated involvement across various schemes. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the software tools essential for traffic signal design, including CAD, LinSig, MCH documentation, TR2500s, and MOVA. Ability to review and audit traffic signal designs and associated documentation. Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Key Skills & Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of traffic signal legislation and guidance. Proficient in CAD. Competence in junction modelling (LinSig). Skilled in writing and interpreting MCH and TR2500 documents. Familiarity with traffic signal configuration packages. Competent in Microsoft Office suite.
