Precision Cylindrical Grinder

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Precision Cylindrical Grinder to join a well known and established engineering company in Liverpool, who supports the local automotive, dock and shipping, Oil and gas, and fluid power generation sectors.

The role:

• Working with detailed engineering drawings
• Rough and finish grind shafts up to 4 m in length
• Working with various grades of steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels on manual cylindrical grinder

Requirements:

• Must be time-served engineer with previous experience working with steadies and grinding precision pump shafts upto 4.0m length
• Work from detailed engineering drawings
• Understand ISO 9001:2015 quality systems
• Previous experience with machining of exotic metals (Super duplex, duplex, 718, x 750, Hastelloy, Monel etc
• Experience in a previous or similar position with 2 years minimum experience
• Good Planning and organisational experience
• Attention to detail
• Previous experience in finish grinding mutli stage pump shafts

Hours of work: Mon - Thurs 07.30 - 16.30/Fri 07.30 - 12.00

Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 with OTE £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
