Freja is one of the fastest growing food brands in the UK, with multi-channel sales distribution driven by a digital-first strategy and a brand platform that's been designed to scale internationally.


It's an exciting time at Freja as we expand into new products, into new sales channels, in new markets, and crucially, start to bring core marketing functions in-house.


We're recruiting a Paid Search Specialist to join our small growth team (Head of Growth, Paid Social, Creative Studio) to drive activity across all paid search platforms.


Freja is a remote-first business, meaning that we operate primarily remotely, but do require some in-office days for team meetings and workshops (this role would average 2 days per month in the office)


Responsibilities


The role takes day-to-day ownership of the Google Ads and Amazon Ads accounts, directly manages our expansion into secondary search platforms (Bing, Citrus), as well as collaborating within the growth team on other performance channels (display, native).


Here’s an approximate breakdown of how you’ll spend your time while taking full ownership of your ad spend, revenue and CPA / ROAS targets:

• 25% on Analysis – Diving into campaign / adset / ad / asset group experiment data across various dimensions (geo, audience, etc.) to pinpoint actionable insights to inform strategy

• 25% on Strategy – Identifying new opportunities to launch, existing campaigns to scale, trends to capitalise on, new buying/optimisation strategies to test, etc.

• 25% on Execution – Hands-on inside the paid search accounts, configuring, managing, monitoring, optimising, and troubleshooting your campaigns / ad sets / ads / asset group experiments

• 25% on Creative – Summarising performance data for the Creative Studio to facilitate rapid iterations on new creative tests and building creative briefs on new ideas you want to test


Requirements


You’re not only fantastic at the technical media buying side of paid search, but you also understand the bigger picture of ecommerce customer acquisition. This means you can identify and exploit audience opportunities, by formulating an effective media strategy, working with the commercial, creative, and website teams to achieve your objectives.


IMPORTANT: Efficient expansion is the name of the game here, and you'll be challenged to prove incremental margin contribution beyond in-platform CPA / ROAS metrics, and to consistently move budgets upwards in the funnel.


We're looking for someone who is:


-Analytical with the ability to quickly detect patterns in data

-Experienced in the nuances of Google Ads campaign types, and on top of new platform trends

-Collaborates with commercial, creative and website teams to achieve objectives

-Can understand the full funnel with appropriate landing pages to maximise CVR and AOV

-Is highly focused on profitable growth and gets a genuine buzz from smashing targets


You will be:


-2+ yrs in DTC Paid Search – managing £50k+ per month hands-on yourself in ad spend primarily on Google… bonus points for Amazon.

-Full Funnel Ecom Performance Marketer – exposure to direct response marketing in ecom context spanning strategy, media, creative and conversion

-Data Driven – comfortable diving deep into analytics platforms, spreadsheets, etc., to detect patterns on which to capitalise

-Biased to action – excited by a high-growth entrepreneurial environment where ambiguity can mean opportunity

-High standards – natural end-to-end ownership mentality with a relentless inner drive to excellence that other people find energising, inspiring and motivating

-Systems-Oriented – top organisational skills and with a knack for creating order out of chaos with highly organised systems that deliver sustained success

-Exceptional Communicator – perceptive listener who quickly synthesise info and can formulate a methodical action plan that can be clearly articulated verbally and in writing
